Truth and conviction: he has it and so does John McCain

I have watched this video a few times now. It offers two conclusions; truth and conviction.  The young Iraqi war veteran has both and John McCain understands both. It is not surprising that this young man endorses John McCain.  They both understand sacrifice and they both understand the virtues of living in a free society. Mr. Obama just doesn’t get it the same way.

Dismissed case against Obama does not resolve the question

A Philadelphia Federal Court judge dismissed a case asking Barack Obama to provide verifiable evidence of his citizenship. In particular, he has been asked to provide an actual ‘vault’ copy of his birth certificate, which would be substantial enough evidence to prove he was born in Hawaii.  He has never done this and he went so far as to file a motion in the court obstructing the process of obtaining this document.

What needs to be understood about the court’s decision is that the court was not challenging the plaintiff (Mr. Berg) on the issue of Obama’s citizenship.  The court has no proof that Barack Obama is a natural-born U.S. citizen. Obama has never provided conclusive evidence of this.  The court ruled in Obama’s favor because the judge did not believe that a common citizen has the standing (authority) to request this proof from a candidate for public office.

What this does is usurp the will of the people. Several million of Americans want this proof.  They deserve this proof. If violates the U.S. Constitution, which provides three requirements for a candidate to run for president. Obama does not qualify by virtue of being born outside the country or taking on the citizenship of Malaysia and not changing citizenship to the U.S. There is no conclusive proof that Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen. The birth certificate his campaign has provided is not legitimate and is only a record of live birth, which can be obtained after a mother has brought her baby back to Hawaii days after birth.

Philip Berg is appealing his case to the third circuit court of appeals and then to the U.S. Supreme Court. Why is he pursuing this case in the first place; especially in light of the fact that he is a lifelong Democrat and former deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania? He is doing it because of the Constitution. He believes that if we don’t enforce the Constitution, we are on a slippery slope. He also believes that if this information is proven after Obama takes office, we then have a Constitutional crisis. Impeachment would be the only avenue and with Democrats controlling the House and Senate, that is unlikely to happen.

Americans of all ideologies have to be very concerned with this issue. If is hypocritical of liberals to protest their belief that President Bush has violated the Constitution with components of national security, but give Obama a pass on violating the Constitution. This is a very real issue. Philip Berg has credibility. Some have suggested that he is a big Hillary Clinton supporter and this is his motivation, but he donated only $200 to her campaign and worked the phones for her campaign for less than 10 hours. That is the extent of his involvement. His concern is very real and has enormous merit.

Why would Obama supporters, so driven to get their candidate into the White House, be willing to violate the provisions of the U.S. Constitution?  How far have Obama supporters fallen, in their devotion to Mr. Obama, that they put country second and Obama first?

The Berg case is genuine. The Obama campaign was not able to comply with the cases 30 waiting period to produce a legitimate birth certificate. The judge has diminished the rights of the common citizen to have any power to vet a candidate for the highest office in the land. We ARE the people. We DO have a right. We WILL NOT be silenced by courts or lawyers who want to silence us to violate our own Constitution. This issue must be heard by a court who agrees that the PEOPLE have a say in the democratic process.

Those who were screaming about the events in 2000 during the presidential election should be just as loud in their protests today. The right to a fair election and candidates who are qualified under the Constitution cannot be ignored. Transparency is necessary. Efforts to thwart the process and sweep the Constitution under the rug set a dangerous precedent.

What is just as important is the vigilance that all Americans must practice. Those who want to shoehorn Sen. Obama into the White House, at any cost, are willing to ignore this Constitutional crisis. In their zeal, they will attempt to alter the facts and diminish the scope of the problem. They will also attempt to provide an explanation for the outcome of Philip Berg’s court case that is not accurate. The judge said Berg did not have ‘standing’; he did not say that the case was without merit or that Mr. Obama satisfied the requirements of the original lawsuit and provided proof he is a natural-born citizen. There will be widespread attempts at distorting the facts.

Contact your local politicians today and tell them that you want justice. If Sen. Obama can provide legal proof that he is a U.S. natural-born citizen, then that will satisfy the skeptics. If he can’t, then the constitutionality of this process cannot go forward.
