The debates; framed in a one-sided perspective

One line sound bite just  heard on the news:

"McCain is trying to postpone Friday’s debate".

This is now the devious mainstream media is characterizing what has occurred today. Remember, McCain has asked Obama for months to do a series of debates and travel together. McCain is the one who brought up the debate idea in the first place. The media’s bias is palpable.

Watch folks…………..just watch……the media will frame this in their terms. They will deceive and manipulate the truth to Obama’s advantage.

Naomi Wolf – today’s lunatic fringe, today’s liberal vote

BASELESS.

Is it any wonder that middle-America, those Americans who pay taxes, work every day and raise their kids are turning away from the liberal kook fringe?

‘Baseless’ describes the latest insane, factless ramblings of a member of the liberal elite. One of those people who has lived a life of privilege, shuttled around in limousines, associating with other elitists, flying around the world in a private jet and separated from ordinary people.  That’s Naomi Wolf. In Wolf’s case, the life of leisure and pampering has led to delusion, pompous self-absorption and utter insanity.

Wolf has her own blog on The Huffington Post, the liberal blog that attracts millions of devotees who seek out others with their own world view. Like many of those in Hollywood, who see themselves as political experts, Naomi Wolf surrounds herself with like-minded personalities who live behind security walls on vast estates.

The victim of Wolf’s ramblings is Governor Sarah Palin. Wolf tells her readers that Governor Palin will create a ‘police state’, once she is in the White House.  What does she base this hysterical statement on?  Governor Palin is pro-life. From that, Wolf extrapolates her incredible claim, that the governor will jail citizens indiscriminately.  Because Governor Palin asked that an officer that used pepper spray on a 10-year old be discharged, she is now a proponent of a police state?

Herein lays the difference in the approach to the current political debate. Wolf is allowed to go off on a baseless diatribe, never being called to task or explaining her sources of information, never expected to prove anything she claims to be factual. The Huffington Post blog, frequently a repository of this approach to the political debate, allows this kind of nonsense and even encourages it.

The end result is millions of minions, millions of lemmings, who read and believe, as the gospel truth, every baseless statement made by elitists like Naomi Wolf.  To the rational mind, this is the rambling of someone who might require commitment to a mental health facility, but to those who share such delusion, it is their war chant.

In thousands of blogs throughout the Internet, there are debates going, by way of comments and forums, between people like Wolf and people who come to the table with actual facts.  It turns out that this is not debate, by definition, but an exercise in futility for those who care about the country’s future.  One side presenting a substantial library of facts and one side possessing  their own self-created facts, devoid of reason, logic or substantiation.

The liberal approach to political debate always includes two ever-present elements. Democratic commercials are exhibit one for the first strategy; name sources that are creating facts for your benefit.  Democrats, in their thousands of smear commercials around the country, rely on articles in liberal publications as source material for their claims.

The sources, liberal newspapers editorializing and calling it news, produce anti-conservative, anti-Republican stories in every issue. Democrats then use these sources to convince an uninformed public that they are basing their accusation on ‘facts’. These ‘facts’ have been conveniently created for use by the Democrats.

The second strategy involves the use of ‘unnamed sources’.  Most accusations made against the Bush administration by the New York Times include these unnamed sources.  As a matter of fact, all accusations made against Republicans and conservatives by liberal publications use this deceptive practice. These ‘unnamed sources’ are fictitious in reality.

And so it is with the tirade, authored by Naomi Wolf in the Huffington Post. Carefully crafted to perpetuate baseless information from liberal publications, her accusations include the usual unnamed source as in most liberal debate.  Wolf goes beyond the normal liberal approach of baseless nonsense, as her statements are tinged with legitimate signs of delusion and a mental state that calls into question the ability for rational thought.

This is the same Naomi Wolf who complains that we don’t teach our children enough about democracy and political history.  Her solution; have left leaning teachers, those with an agenda, spend more time stuffing young heads with their dogma.  Political history can be revisionist as long as it supports her world view and as long as it produces a generation of voters who vote her way.

Wolf accuses Palin of being a continuation of Karl Rove.  Rove gives liberals fits because he is an intellectual and a conservative.  They can’t stand that he is smarter than them. They have demonized him for this reason, and now it becomes a convenience for Wolf to compare Palin to Rove.  What an easy way to demonize her newest enemy.

Wolf claims in her manifesto; ‘A well known reporter leaked to me on background that St Paul police had dressed as protesters and, dressed in Black — shades of the Blackshirts of 1920 — infiltrated protest groups…’  Note that she employs the liberal strategy of an unnamed source; a ‘well known reporter’ in this case.

Ms. Wolf had written a controversial article a few years ago about her allegations that a college professor at Yale had made sexual advances at her 20 years before.  The article in New York Magazine dragged the reputation of the respected professor through the mud, although other woman had not had the same experience with him.

Ironically, after Ms. Wolf made her accusations against the professor, she said; "Professor Bloom is not a bad guy! He’s a good guy in many ways! That’s something I tried to make clear in this piece,"  "One stupid action shouldn’t demonize someone or victimize someone".

It’s interesting that she did not feel that one action was cause enough to demonize someone. Today, Naomi Wolf is trying to convince us that because Gov. Palin requested the firing of a peace officer for inappropriate behavior and because she is pro-life, SHE SHOULD be demonized.

As left-wing conspiracy theorists go, Naomi Wolf is at the head of the pack.  Her writings portending a fascist future for America, with stormtroopers shoving their boots down the throats of liberals, have mesmerized the radical left and deluded regular folks gullible enough to believe her tripe. Like all on the radical left, with Bush-derangement syndrome, she lays all evil at the feet of the president. Now, she is doling out a portion to Sarah Palin, someone who is the antithesis of evil.

These are the people in the Obama camp. Wolf will likely get a cabinet position.
