Ward Churchill has officially fired today by the University of Colorado.  The University initially defended Churchill’s right to say preposterous things about the victims of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, but later recanted.  Their claim was freedom of speech, but subsequent evidence of misrepresentation, fabrication and plagiarism pushed the university over the edge.

As you may remember, Churchill accused many of the victims in the World Trade Center of being ‘little Eichmanns’.  Comparing 9/11 victims with a Nazi leader and siding with the terrorists against the U.S. was not enough for Churchill.  He went on the lecture circuit, to the thrill of the extreme left, all the time collecting his salary from the university.

I wrote about Churchill on this blog in July of last year.  At the time I predicted he would retire from the university a full professor.  I may have been wrong.  We don’t really know at this time, since there will soon be liberal lawyers and the ACLU lining up to work pro-bono to sue the university.  What’s more, this firing will propel him to the zenith of left-wing cult status.  He is already there, but he is now bigger than super-star.

If impropriety in research was not discovered, the board of regents at UC would yawn and go about their business.  After all, criticizing the United States, inferring that the U.S. had it coming with 9/11 and accusing the government of poisoning native Americans is all acceptable liberal group-think.  Since they punish students guilty of plagiarism, they had no choice but to punish Churchill.  It won’t end here though.

The day will come when liberals will be adding this guy as a write-in candidate for President.  He is their kind of people.  Watch for more antics from Ward Churchill.  He will end up a millionaire because there are enough sick, twisted people in this country that will see that it happens.
