RICHMOND, Calif. â€”  A man walked into a church, doused a nativity scene with a flammable liquid and set it ablaze in front of a practicing choir, police said.

Robert Mills, 40, of San Pablo, was arrested Friday night while hiding in a park minutes after police said he walked into St. Cornelius Parish and announced he was going to set the church on fire.

Mills told everyone to leave but blocked the doorway until he began showering the sanctuary with the liquid, giving choir members a chance to escape, said Richmond Police Lt. Enos Johnson.  The fire destroyed the nativity scene, a lectern and carpeting, and caused extensive smoke damage. No one was injured. 

Prosecutors will likely charge Mills with arson and possibly false imprisonment because the building was occupied when the fire occurred, police said.  “If they establish it’s a hate crime, they could go in that direction,” Johnson said.  Mills remained in custody at a detention facility in Martinez on Saturday. It was not clear if he had an attorney.

 

Let me understand this………………”if they establish it’s a hate crime.”  If Mr. Mills had doused a Synagogue or a Mosque with a flammable substance and set it on fire with the faithful present, would there be any question about its qualification as a hate crime?

The level of bigotry towards Christians amongst those on the extreme left in America is palpable and increasing in intensity.  Those on the left try to argue that it is not bigotry, but their arguments ring hollow.  Hatred for a specific group or sub-population is bigotry no matter how you try to color it.

In this latest story, along with the church burnings in the south and in Arizona, we see a pattern of symbol destruction that has real meaning for the anti-Christians.  In this case, the Nativity was the central target along with the baby Jesus, the central figure in Christianity.  While the left charges Christians with intolerance, they burn Christian churches and use the courtroom to remove Christian symbols from the public square.  The left proves conclusively that they are amongst the most intolerant segment of the U.S. population.

If the defendant in the story above escapes any hate crime charges, it will be another example of one-sided justice.   The same visceral hatred that this man demonstrates against the Christian church can be seen on left wing websites aimed also at the President.   When you have a large percentage of a population filled with rage and hatred towards another group, it presents a danger to all.

This time the choir escaped……………..next time, who knows.

The most liberal of the liberal blogs have one thing in common………..there can be no, I repeat NO dissenting views.  Case in point, the Huffington Post blog.   This beacon to the extreme left is a shining example of the ‘one-opinion’ mentality that pervades the lefts blogs, websites, radio talk shows and forums.  At the Huffington Post, all dissenting voices are snuffed out.  Instead, you find only a chorus of mindless yes men and woman agreeing with every word expressed by the blogs socialist proprietor.

I know first hand of the truth that I speak.  I have posted several times on the HuffingtonPost.  I have never engaged in personal attacks or ad honinem assertions.  With the exception of one comment that was buried amongst 508 others, the moderators at Huffington have always seen fit to remove my comments before they saw the light of day.  This guarantees that the message remains always one-sided and the adherents of the Huffington Post march in lock step like so many storm troopers.

The Gawker website, a message board for extremists on the left, goes one step further.  While Arriana Huffington makes sure that dissenting opinions may be entered but never seen, the Gawker website makes certain that argument is not allowed to even be entered.  According to their blogs terms of use;  ’the comments sections on GM Sites are accessible to users by invitation only.’   I guess that scrubs clean any possibility of other opinions.  The left hates to confront factual argument.  It really messes up their message.

As of this writing, the DailyKos has 112 comments under their ‘Midday Open Thread’ piece.  To a person, all comments are in complete agreement with the assertions of their puppet master, including this opinion about our military;  ”you can now be 3 years older and still rejoin, and high school diplomas no longer needed. Drug arrest records no longer matter either.”   So typical of the extreme left…….they say they are concerned about our armed forces, but they can still find time to degrade them on their blogs.

When Live, Breathe and Die reached its peak of readership and comment volume last June, the comments ranged from agreement from conservatives to vile, personal attacks by liberals.  The level of dialogue was never allowed to get passed the base four letter word level required by those on the extreme left in absence of reason.  I still accept comments, with review before publishing, but this doesn’t sit well with the potty mouth crowd.  Truth is, once stripped of vulgarities; their comments would still see daylight here.
