The conservative: “We have so much to be thankful for. We thank God for so many blessings. We are thankful for the brave men and woman in our military, we are thankful for a good economy and abundant opportunity. We are thankful for the freedoms that we hold dear and the great foundation established by our founding fathers. This is a great country and we are lucky to be Americans.”
The liberal: “Everything is a mess. We are nearly in another depression. Our military is terrorizing innocent people and committing war crimes daily. The Bush administration is trying to take our civil rights away by listening in on international phone calls. We need to come up with new ideas to make this country great, because the founding fathers got it all wrong. This country is a bully, and until we are able to raise taxes, allow several million more people the benefit of welfare, take away the undeserved earnings of rich people and prosecute those in the military who embarrass innocent terrorists, we are not progressing. Just what do you expect me to be thankful for?”
