USA Today = Democratic Party
Many millions across America, in recent years, have come to the realization that the main stream media is a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. It is not a baseless assertion by the right, but all too obvious when one pages through any major newspaper or spends a few minutes watching the evening news. The opinions of all those who bring us the news trumps the facts every time.
Todays USA Today once again showed its true colors with the headline, "Sour news for GOP in polls." Dissecting the story immediately reveals one important fact; that the poll was of "registered voters," with no further details. The poll was a joint effort between USA Today and Gallup. For all we know, the registered voters were all registered democrats. They may have, at the very least, voted democrat in the past without registering as democrats. Asking those with the most animosity towards President Bush will produce the poll results sought. The poll results sought will provide the headlines sought. And so it goes.
I have never seen USA Today publish a positive comment about President Bush. It would be nice to be proven wrong on this point, but I'm sure it won't happen. I wrote USA Today's founder once on this subject. He did not reply. I'm sure he is a busy man. Because the paper reflects his views is more likely the reason he did not respond.
The USA Today article quoted Scott McClellan, departing Whitehouse spokesman, as saying "the President is not focused on polls, but achieving results for the American people." USA Today sees this as being out of touch. They just don't get it. The President is a true manager. He is an experienced manager. He is a Harvard MBA, so knows management theory. Real managers have to make decisions, and their decisions have to be based on the best information and most factual information available. They are doing a disservice to those they work for if they make decisions based on the changing winds of public opinion.
Facts make no difference to those who write, publish and editorialize in USA Today because the readership believes. If your readers do not question the content of your news publication, then why change. If your agenda and purpose is to serve the democratic party and your mission is to fill the seats in congress with democrats, then publishing anti-Republican headlines serves your purpose. It is the headline that counts. This is sometimes all the reader knows.
On page 8 of the first section, USA Today has another headline; "May Day protestors rally throughout Europe." The article never mentions the origin of May Day. Could this be because May Day was chosen as the day for protests and boycotts by pro-amnesty forces nationwide? USA Today again failed the disclosure test and appealed to those who are history-challenged. Another tip of the hat to the democratic party.
USA Today is our national newspaper and is read coast to coast. While many criticize Fox News, equating their balanced reporting as pro-conservative, few mention USA Today for their overtly left-leaning reporting. We have to put this national misinformation campaign in check. If the democrats pick up seats in November because USA Today readers voted based on the Republican/Bush biased articles they read for months, then the democratic party alliance with USA Today will have worked. If this is the way our leaders are decided in 2006 and 2008, then the system is flawed and we are on the road to ruin.
